The PACE CLUB met Monday night, February 14 at 7:30 in the Levelland High School auditorium to honor a number of the High School’s best students. The PACE CLUB stands for Parents for Academic Excellence and it honors students at Levelland High School throughout the year by recognizing the best students in every discipline. These students are chosen for their grades, participation, leadership, and attitude in class. The next group of students to be recognized for the 4th 6 weeks grading period were the best students in the Fine Arts discipline. The Science teachers nominated and selected the recipients of the awards for areas including Biology, IPC, Chemistry, Physics, and Anatomy and Physiology. There are two honorees in each grade, 9th through 12th, one boy and one girl. The students received a PACE CLUB certificate and collected $10 gift certificates to local restaurants. The following students were recognized by the PACE CLUB:
Freshman- Brooke Durham and Lazador Banda
Sophomores- Celestina Lopez and Adam Vargas
Juniors- Colin McKay and Claudia Romero
Seniors- Amber Reyes and Spencer Fugate
