South Elementary Gifted and Talented students just completed studying the Wright Brothers and Amelia Earhart with their teacher Mrs. Amanda Campbell. To wrap up their pilot unit, Dan Kubal invited the GT students to take a tour of his spraying/airplane business. The students learned about crop dusting, the different chemicals used, and they even got to see first hand the inside of the airplanes. Before the students left, they watched many different kinds of crop duster planes take off and land. Some of the pilots even showed the students some of their spray patterns.
