Carver Learning Center staff and families continue their project to place a cross to memorialize the 237 persons who are buried in the Hockley County Cemetery at the merging of W. Ellis and W.114  Hwy. MORE CROSSES are still needed for this and the South part of the cemetery. Please spread the message and if you can make a cross please contact Cynthia Garcia  at Carver.

SPC students came Good Friday morning and worked hard to clean up the Carver playground  and paint the equipment. Licensed Child Care toddlers enjoyed the pretty playground on Monday morning and still do.

Are wet ice and dry ice the same? We know in the a candle can not burn in the pressure of C02 . It burned in the wet ice. The candle went out every time we put it into the “fog” of the CO2 of the dry ice. Billy Ulloa hypothesized that the dry ice in the pan would cool the filled balloon faster then wet ice. The balloon did contract sooner as the green balloon shrank and sank in the pan. Dry ice, CO2, is so cold that it froze the wet bubble. We could poke it, it stayed for a long time and when it broke. We’ve soared through Saturday School! March 12th was our last class on Saturday morning at Carver Learning Center. Alan energizing- Thrust! Air pressure imbalance! Flight! Selena tested many designs to produce a long, twirling flight. Angelina’s long and short streamlined planes both flew straiglet to the target. Junior, testing a double plane the one with small wing span atop one with a larger wing span (similar to the plane carrying the space shuttle), is it aerodynamic?
