Carver Learning Center staff and families continue their project to place a cross to memorialize the 237 persons who are buried in the Hockley County Cemetery at the merging of W. Ellis and W.114  Hwy. MORE CROSSES are still needed for this and the South part of the cemetery. SPC students came Good Friday morning and worked hard to clean up the Carver playground  and paint the equipment. Licensed Child Care toddlers enjoyed the pretty playground on Monday morning and still do.

Billy Ulloa hypothesized that the dry ice in the pan would cool the filled balloon faster then wet ice. The balloon did contract sooner as the green balloon shrank and sank in the pan.

Dry ice, CO2, is so cold that it froze the wet bubble. We could poke it, it stayed for a long time and when it broke. The pop was in slow motion and the gas was cold.

Celebrating Citizenship – Elva Silva (front row, right) recently passed her citizenship test and was swore in as a United States citizen.
