ReadingOlympics1Mrs. Isaacks recently hosted the Reading Olympics at South Exemplary School.  Students had to keep an “A” average in Accelerated Reader for the two weeks of the olympics, while also earning as many points as possible.  The Gold Medal Readers were Lauren, Ivan, Jordan C., Zack, Averi and Jaxon.  The Silver Medal Readers were Alicia, Isaac, Kamryn, Donavan,    Jasmine and Aaron. And the Bronze Medal Readers were Sofia, Jordan L., Joseph, Mia, Michael and Cameron (absent).  The students worked hard to earn points while keeping the high average and were very excited to find out they had won the medals.  Lauren said it was “easy for her because no one could catch her.” Sofia said that it “was hard to keep and A average and that she stressed out about it.”  Isaac was the opposite and stated, “it was easy to keep an A.”  Donovan said, “it was hard to keep up with how many points he was actually earning each day.”
